Brokeback Mountain

I just saw brokeback mountain for the first time this weekend and I thought it was really good. I didn’t think they would show as much as they did of the two guys, but I think it was a huge step for the gay community and their portrayal in the media. I just don’t get why if they loved each other so much why they couldn’t just be together instead of living double lives. Overall I thought the movie was really good.

They couldn’t live together because it wasn’t accepted. It shows in the beginning what happens to two guys that lived together. And in the end when others found out Jack was gay they torchered and murdered him as well.

If you haven’t yet read the short story, I highly recommend it: it’s beautiful and touching and brilliantly written.
